Burnout from Chasing Achievement Highs
Learn why achievement loses meaning over time.
The body prepares before precision is required.
Muscles align, breath steadies, attention narrows.
You notice how readiness lives in posture, how accuracy asks the body to brace slightly ahead of action.
This moment names that preparation without asking it to soften.
It recognizes the intelligence of a system trained to meet exact demands.

This is Performance Readiness. In this model, your body is bracing to provide a stable platform for high-precision tasks. Your Status & Control system orders a "lock" to prevent error. Naming this bracing helps you realize that the tension isn't "stress"—it is a metabolic investment in accuracy. Recognizing this cost allows you to decide when precision is worth the physical "bracing" and when you can safely transition to "low-resolution" movement.
You must provide a "completion signal." The brace stays active because the body doesn't know the "performance" is over. Explicitly name the end of the task: "This is done." Follow this with a physical movement that contradicts the lock—a stretch or a deep exhale. This signals to the Threat & Safety system that the "precision window" has closed, allowing the bracing to dissolve and the integration of the effort to begin.
