Internal Mental Chaos & Fragmented Thoughts
Learn why your thoughts pull in opposite directions and how to restore internal clarity.
Awareness draws inward, focusing narrowly as if passing through a tunnel.
Peripheral space fades, not by force but by contraction.
This window does not expand attention or widen the view.
It acknowledges narrowing as a state that occurs, allowing focus to remain tight without urgency to open it.

This is Narrowing of Awareness. Under high load, the Threat system shuts down "peripheral processing" to focus exclusively on the perceived problem. In the Meaning Density Model™, this is a "low-resolution" state where you lose connection to the big picture. Identifying this narrowing allows you to stop the "optimization loop" and realize that your current "tunnel vision" is a biological reflex, not an accurate view of reality.
Use "Sensory Expansion." Intentionally look for the edges of the room or listen for the most distant sound. This doesn't "solve" the stress, but it "re-opens the Entry Band." By forcing the system to process peripheral data, you break the "monolithic focus" of the threat. This "structural widening" creates the "internal gaps" needed for your identity to settle and recover.
