Paralysis by Overthinking
Understand why thinking too much freezes decision-making and how to move forward.
When roles don’t fit the same way, movement becomes awkward.
Expectations slide, and old behaviors feel heavy.
This dissonance does not mean the role was wrong; it means the conditions changed.
Naming role mismatch restores flexibility and releases the pressure to perform a version of yourself that no longer supports balance.

Your "Old Roles" no longer fit your Lived Experience. You have changed internally, but the "costumes" of your roles haven't. Naming this discomfort prevents you from thinking you’ve "failed" those roles. It is a signal that the Terms of Engagement need to change. You are learning to inhabit these roles from your Center rather than from your Performative Mask.
You don't "fix" it; you Re-inhabit it. Stop trying to play the role "the way you used to." Instead, bring your current, settled presence to the role. This might mean you are quieter, more boundaries-focused, or less "helpful" in a frantic way. By being your Current Self within the role, the role eventually stretches and adapts to your new shape.
